Ending (for now) on a bit of apropos. When I created this piece in October 2016, it was meant to showcase one of my characters. Now, I look at it and see myself (well, a fantasy, younger, skinnier self). The future is so uncertain. One expects to be "lost" when you're young and not sure of where life will lead you. Pushing 50, you don't expect to be faced with so much "unknown" and "torn in two." I can only see dark and storms ahead, and it feels like the light will never come. Realistically, I know that's probably not true, but it's been so long, one starts to wonder...

Original Notes and Credits:

Heavy clouds of uncertainty darkened the world around her. She yearned for the sun to break through and reveal the truth.

A quote from “Norlander,” the Chasers Universe novel I’ll be working on for NaNoWriMo. I need to create a couple of photomanipulations for the book (including the cover). I’m a bit rusty, so I wanted to do something simple to get back into it. I participate in weekly writing events on Twitter and today is “Metaphor Monday.” I thought of this quote, which I posted, and wanted to do a visual for it. Honestly, this looks more like Sara than Jessica, but I think it fits both of them at certain times in their lives.
