Cherry Blossom Serenade

"I have earned every age spot, every wrinkle..."

 

The last decade has been a difficult one for me—the last 2 years particularly so. For a myriad of reasons, it has forced me to look at my life... and my mortality. People come and go. Success is fleeting. Like cherry blossoms, we bloom and fade so very quickly. While most of my past blogs have featured a coffee-moniker, I feel it only appropriate that this one showcase the honored Japanese flower. Don't worry, I don't plan to be all wistful and melancholy. Well, not all of the time. But as time marches on (and we all don't really know how much time we have), I will use the cherry blossom as a reminder of my own hourglass, of my own sands of time...
