Lobsters & Carousels

“Memories fade, but feelings are forever.”

During dry spells of creativity, micro fiction* has become a haven for me—a way to remain active writing-wise when there is limited energy or time. It is challenging to tell a story using so few words, a challenge I quite enjoy. So while my “6-ish Word Stories” have their own place, my “longer” micro-fiction will be featured here.

The title is a homage to a dear friend who was taken from this world far too early, just barely in his 20s. I always wonder what would have happened should things have been different. Needless to say, he will always have a special place in my heart.

*** Though definitions vary, typically micro fiction is any story told in under 1000 words. For many people, 300-350 words is the max count. Though, for some people, only a mere 100 words qualify. ***
